Hartmann not only puts forth a code of ethics for those who wish to practice the art of magic, but also lays out in great detail what he likes to think of as "the anatomy and physiology of the soul." While the book focuses on the practice of magic, it also contains wonderful tips on investigating some of the divine mysteries of nature and on finding universal knowledge deep within ourselves.
