What does a hungry, pregnant witch do when her whole freaking town goes on a no carb diet?
I’ll tell you what. She goes on the sly and conjures up some anchovy-chocolate chunk cookies dipped in hot sauce—that’s what.
Of course my cheating gets complicated when all of the magic in the world goes on the fritz. To solve that particular wrinkle, I’ll have to finally find the source of the lurking evil.
Easier said than done. Maybe if I wasn’t pregnant and starving, I could deal with the nasty old witch who resides in a gingerbread house. Add in carb eating fairies who speak French and three rotund familiars who enjoy defacing property with profane graffiti, and what you get is almost more trouble than I can handle in my baby baking condition.
I’m still not convinced I won’t be giving birth to puppies since the smokin’ hot father of my babies is a werewolf, and NO ONE has given me ANY concrete proof to the contrary. Getting knocked up by the werewolf of my dreams was all kinds of awesome in practice, but the reality of becoming a mother scares me more than Baba Yaga’s horrendous 1980’s wardrobe.
Monstrous decisions with enormous ramifications are best handled with meticulous planning—or in my case—after eating a giant mustard slathered jelly doughnut. Neither of those options is possible at the moment, but since there is no way I’m bringing my children into a magicless world, winging it will just have to work.
Wait… Was that a contraction I just felt?

Growth and Knowledge
Zelda and Mac are expecting parents. Life gets really interesting for them as well as the entire town. Fabio want his daughter to eat healthy during her pregnancy. This book has many subplots and interesting characters. I loved the book! Yes, there is action, mystery and lots of humor! Robyn Peterman has written another successful book! Read it and have a good laugh like I did!
Another great read! (or what not to eat when you're expecting)
A fun read in the Magic & Mayhem series! Robyn Peterman delivers a winner yet again. You’ll laugh through the entire book and be anxious for the next in the story!
As Zelda power-eats her way through her pregnancy, the lurking (ahem) evil still torments Assjacket, West Virginia. And I’m not talking about Fabio’s ban on carbs! Join with us as we scrounge for junk food and munch on houses (yes, houses). We learn more of the story behind Babayomama, and what lies ahead for our favorite Zeldoumannawanna. You’ll never look at HoHos the same way again, and you’ll be craving Lucky Charms throughout! I recommend starting at the beginning of the series so you get the full impact of the Shifter Wanker, and her merry band of misfits.
Same tired jokes, no plot
I've read every book Robyn Peterman has written, and loved some of the earlier books, but lately I've found them disappointing. This one unfortunately included. It took 2/3 of the book for something to happen besides non-funny rambling about pregnancy cravings, and even then, the plot was weak. I wish Robyn would return to prioritizing plot lines and story telling, rather than chit chat among the characters and repetitive bad jokes. It makes me sad, but I may be done with her writing.
