Publisher Description

Andrea Breaux has been on the run for years. But when she encounters a handsome, immortal Scottish warlock and his powerful toddler who adores her, she can’t seem to resist the duo! A fun, spellbinding romance full of hijinks and humor. (Bookbub)

Magic, Mischief & Kilts! A modern-day Scottish warlock paranormal romance by NYT Bestselling Author Michelle M. Pillow.

Kenneth doesn’t have room for anything in his life beyond his responsibilities as an immortal warlock and a father. Being a single dad is difficult, especially when that toddler is more powerful than his entire magickal family combined. Standing against forces who want nothing more than to harness his daughter’s power takes focus, dedication, and the willingness to put his life on hold. So when the mysterious yet beautiful Andrea appears on his doorstep, he can’t help but distrust her.

For two years, Andrea Breaux has been running from a dangerous supernatural force. She’s learned to stay on the move, to never allow grass to grow under her feet, and to be suspicious of everyone and everything. When she finds herself in a house surrounded by magicks and a powerful child who would rather she not leave, Andrea isn’t sure what to do or if she even wants to go. But staying puts everyone at risk, especially the Scottish hottie in a kilt, Kenneth MacGregor.

From the Highlands of Scotland to the valleys of Wisconsin... Book Seven of the Warlocks MacGregor® series by NY Times and USA TODAY Bestselling Author, Michelle M. Pillow.

About the Warlocks MacGregor® Series

People know magic is fake--card tricks and illusions, magicians and entertainers. But there is an older magick, a powerful force hidden from modern eyes, buried in folklore and myths, remembered by the few who practice the old ways and respect the lessons of past generations.

The term "warlock" is a variation on the Old English word waerloga, primarily used by the Scots. It meant traitor, monster or deceiver. This fiction-based family includes males and females of magick. The MacGregors do not agree with how history has labeled them, or other supernaturals. To them, warlock means magick, family, and immortality. This series is not a portrayal of modern-day witchcraft or those who hold such beliefs. The MacGregors are a magickal class all their own.

Contains yummy, hot, mischievous MacGregors who are almost certainly up to no good on their quest to find true love.  And Uncle Raibeart.

More danger, magic and love

I loved Kenneth and Andrea’s heartwarming, hilarious, steamy and suspenseful romance full of lovable and relatable characters. Kenneth is a warlock whose large clan family recently moved to the small town of Green Vallis. He disappeared from the family 25 years ago and has been recently reunited with them along with his magical Phoenix daughter, Jewel. Andrea is a human who is from folk magic. She has been running for two years from an evil entity which is how she ends up in Green Vallis. Andrea meets Kenneth and his unique family when portals keep bringing her into their house including one which results in her being hired as a nanny for Jewel. There is a deep and strong instant attraction and connection between Kenneth and Andrea despite the strange circumstances of their meeting. I loved that Jewel was a wonderful and integral character in the story rather than a flimsy story prop. Most of the movement of the story and the character growth centered around her. To get to their HEA, Kenneth and Andrea will have to try to control Jewel’s power, figure out what is hunting Andrea, and protect the family. The story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline with mystery, sweet moments, steamy scenes, snort worthy laughs, messy families, painful pasts, surprises, magic, and all the love. I love the hilarity, insanity and strong emotions that characterize the MacGregor family and am looking forward to reading more in this series. 4.5 stars.

The Nanny and the warlock

Kenneth spent 25 years away from his family running and protecting his daughter. When he follows his daughter and ends back with his family his mom grounded him and he can’t leave the house. This is one of Michelle M. Pillows funnier books. I love how she put together magic with the issues toddlers go through. Andrea stands up to Kenneth’s mom. They end was surprising and I couldn’t put the book down.

How Hard Can it be to Control a Two Year Old?

Kenneth MacGregor has his hands full trying to raise his young daughter Jewell. Even with the help of his extended, if somewhat disfunctional family, things are not going well. When his mother hires Andrea to be her nanny, he is extremely suspicious.

Andrea has been running for the last two years from a dangerous supernatural force. She is just about at her wits end when she ends up in Wisconsin, broke and in need of a job. It’s obvious right away to her that things are not what they seem in the town. When she finds a portal in her motel bathroom directly to the MacGregors house she feels like Alice falling through the rabbit hole. When Marguerite offers her a job as Jewel’s nanny she tries to turn it down, but Jewell has other ideas.

This is another hilarious romp with the crazy MacGregor family! I was glad to see Kenneth finally get his happily ever after. After what he has been through the last 25 years he definitely deserves it!
