Mahagita

Ethnomusicologist Ingo Stoevesandt introduces us to the famous arched harp from Myanmar, the "Saung gauk".



Basing on the recordings during his lessons with his teacher U Phone Myint, he provides sheet music for some of the most famous pieces from the "Mahagita" collection, as well as basic introductions on tuning and playing techniques.



Including pieces like "Si ne war", "Lu ma nhaw", "Way bar ge ri" and many others.



This sheet music is not only for players, but also for listeners to read along, as all pieces are recorded and presented on Youtube.
