Mail-Order Misfire: Front Range Brides ~ Series Prequel
Publisher Description
For love of a little girl, will two widowed hearts give hope a second chance?
Preacher Bern Stidham is a peacemaker—when he’s not carrying one on his hip. He's heart-sore for a partner, a wife, but wearing a badge, carrying a Bible, and raising his daughter Gracie keeps him too busy to hunt one down. Gracie knows her papa needs a helper. She wants a mama for herself as well, so she writes to a trusted friend for a mail-order bride. Trouble is, she doesn't let Bern know about the letter until it's too late.
Recently widowed dressmaker Etta Collier is a half-step ahead of the banker who carries a lustful eye for her as well as the note on her home. When her pastor encourages her to answer an unusual letter from a little girl, hope opens an unexpected door. Running from one man’s lecherous pursuit into the home of another she knows nothing about, Etta may have to risk everything to ease a little girl’s loneliness and find a second chance at love.

Lovely book
This is the first book that I’ve read in the series, and it is lovely. There are both challenges and heartbreak in this wholesome story that writes of truthful experiences that many have faced, without monotonous drama for dramas sake. I look forward to enjoying the next installment of the series. Have a lovely day.
Mail order misfire
Loved the book, couldn’t put it down. The only thing that bothered me (probably the teacher in me) recipe - directions foe cooking. Receipt - proof of purchase and lightning-flash from a thunderstorm. Lighting - light, lamp, etc
Enjoyable Read
Pleasant, hopeful. A joy to read and follow the characters.
