As Cambodia rapidly modernizes, Cambodian teenagers want to know how they can be successful in this changing world. “Make Your Luck” gives them advice on family, community, education, employment and leadership, with an emphasis on the character qualities that they must possess to truly enjoy their success. This book should be read by the parents of these teenagers as well. It will give them a better understanding of a world that is very different from the one they grew up in. “Make Your Luck” was written by a young Cambodian woman who grew up in rural Cambodia and has firsthand experience with the challenges faced by Cambodian teenagers today.

The author, Sokhary Kong Pavese, grew up in rural Cambodia on a rice farm. She worked for four years in Cambodian factories after high school before attending university. As Chairman of John Givonetti Giving (JGG), a Cambodian based charity, she has personally helped thousands of Cambodian teenagers develop the skills needed to be successful.
