Good read, bad ebook
I'm about about a quarter through the book and I am fascinated by the story of a man often mentioned but perhaps not well understood. I specifically enjoy the author's treatment of the culture and characters comprising Malcolm's world. The quality of this ebook is very poor - glitches abound wherever apostrophes ought to be. Specific trouble where the letter "r" is followed by an apostrophe. I wouldn't have purchased this in ebook form if I'd known these sloppy errors ran rampant through the text.
Great book, shoddy publisher
The book is superb - no complaints there. But the iBooks edition suffers from a sloppy electronic conversion, so the publisher rates 0 stars for their "effort." Come on guys, can't you figure out how to convert apostrophes and dashes into the electronic version?? Considering that this edition costs almost as much as the hardcover, it's unforgivable.
unsubstantiated accusations
Everyone should read this new book entitled, "By Any Means Necessary, Malcolm X- Real not Reinvented". A collection of writings by over 30 scholars as a response to Manning Marable's book. Edited by Herb Boyd, Ron Daniels, Maulana Karenga and Haki R. Madhubuti
