Manhood is a lost art. In the days of our grandfathers and great grandfathers, a handshake was your word and your word was your bond. Integrity was valued, honesty was respected, and one’s family was the most important thing in the world. Sadly, these values are becoming lost in today’s society, disappearing in a haze of high divorce rates, working-parent households, computers and television babysitters.


Author Michael Bronco intends to change this. A fitness professional for over 25 years, Michael has spent his life learning the values of practical knowledge and a do-it-yourself attitude. His philosophy is simple: Keep your tools sharp.  Be honest.  Do good work.



Fortunate enough to know both his grandfather and great grandfather, Michael spent his childhood with them in tool-filled garages and in the great outdoors, learning everything from household repairs to fishing and hunting.  During that time he absorbed stories along with knowledge; stories of pain, loss, and helplessness, yet all of it conquered through the indomitable values of strength, honesty and integrity. 

From his great grandfather’s tale of making an engagement ring out of a hollowed-out nickel to Michael’s own struggle to build a cabin by hand, Man School is not just a look into what it once meant to be a man: it is about how to be a man, from owning your own actions to being a true husband and father to your children.
