Mannequin Market

This is a compilation of images that I've photographed, either on location, or at my home studio, of previously owned fiberglass mannequins. Because of their age and obvious misuse, most of them are in various stages of distress, bearing the markings and imperfections that time and neglect create. 


I've been dealing with issues concerning impermanence, and its impact on our life's choices in my photographs of used and discarded mannequins. These representatives of human form seem to deny the passage of time, maintaining their mask-like realism, until physically, they are no longer of use to anyone, except photographers.
