This book contains 15 chapters, each dealing with an important problem that is plaguing the people at large. Many of the maladies discussed therein pertain to most of the underdeveloped and developing countries, though they are depicted with an Indian background. The topics have been presented in a mix of fiction and facts. The discourse on key social issues throws light on various aspects of the problems and also probes propounding certain solutions to them. The delineation aims to create public awareness of social issues, alert people to growing perils, edify wrongdoers, deter the youth of today from going astray and make the Government authorities more sensitized to the consequences of their apathy and dishonest behaviour. The book also displays an intention to impact standard English to the college students.
