The MacGreagors are shed of “the duchess”. Loved ones reappear in their lives. How much better can life be? Don’t count on it; there is always someone or something lurking around the corner to plague them. Will the castle be rebuilt? We will have to move on to book 10 to find out. As usual this book 9 by Marti Talbot is an enjoyable read.

I have loved this series--rich with characters to love or to despise. I was, however, disappointed at the anticlimactic, abrupt way in which the Duchess is dealt with, unless there is a 10th book in the works. Also, as with the other books, there is need for editing, mostly to remove excess words from sentences but most especially to correct E.M Foster to Forster. Otherwise, keep telling your great stories!
