Marian

John steps back from the brink of suicide. He starts the fight for his survival and that of his company. Marian comes back into his life to help. He prevents Rosemary from re-marrying and is forced to rescue Alison, his wife, following the death of her new lover in Spain. Meanwhile his friendship with Cynthia and her mother is developing. But the expansion of his business interests is prevented by his call-up to do national service. This leads to his physical disablement.
