Marlo meets the Blind Kingfisher

The Feathered Friendship Series Marlo misses the great migration, as she was still caught in the egg, believing she is all alone, abandoned by her parents, on the island of nests. Life changed one day through a chance meeting with an elder bird, both of them believing they were all alone and are surprised to find they are together. Marlo gives her young fluffy feathers to the elder bird, who, bewildered and cold, has lost all his belly feathers. Returning this act of warmth and kindness, the elder bird gifts Marlo his wingtip feather. As Marlo and the elder bird had both missed the migration, they find themselves perplexed and in the same predicament, one at the beginning of life, and one whom believed life was drawing to an end, together they decide to form a feathered friendship. A philosophical adventure around the world. Marlos life from conception to egg, from egg to flight, a global migration meeting birds of every description and origin,gaining inspiration and knowledge. Accepting all as unique, and worthy of friendship. Marlo gathers a feather from every bird upon the journey, and gifts one in return, in the realisation that we are the sum total of our experiences, and everyone within our lives complete us. Finally she meets her parents whom gave life to her in the beginning, For the young at heart and the old in mind or the ones that cannot remember the difference between the two.
