Beautiful, spirited, Texas born Ellie Burnett needs a husband. Fast. Her father, rancher Archibald Burnett, is dying, and she’s determined to marry to protect the ranch and preserve her father’s legacy in Montana’s rugged Paradise Valley. The trouble is, she wants to wear the boots in the family and the man she has in mind, Irishman Thomas Sheenan would never stand for that.
Independent and taciturn Thomas Sheenan isn’t looking for a wife, having spent far too much of his life taking care of others. He’s come to Montana to carve out his own identity, and be his own man. The last thing he needs is a headstrong bride, but when Ellie approaches him with the offer of a lifetime, he can’t refuse.
Thomas didn’t anticipate falling for his new bride. He moved to Montana to stake his claim…he never planned on losing his heart.

Married in Montana
This was a wonderful historical romance. I love going back in time to a different era.
Ellie is desperate for a husband because her father is dying and she will be left vulnerable if he passes before she is married. Thomas Sheenan doesn't ever want to get married, but he respects Ellie's father, and is attracted to Ellie, so when she proposes a business deal type marriage, he accepts.
I loved the emotions in this story. Ellie goes through quite the rollercoaster from marriage to her father's death, to the aftermath of that while adjusting to married life. Thomas is a good man and has experienced enough loss in his life that he is very protective of Ellie, but she is very strong willed and stubborn so they certainly have some interesting spats.
I loved the characters and storyline. It was a nice escape from reality.
Wonderful book
Loved the story of Ellie and Thomas. It started out a little rough for them, but as love grew, things were better for them. Headstrong Ellie and closed off Thomas finally found their footing and had a wonderful HEA for the future generations of Sheehans to respect and a legacy to carry on.
Loved it!
This was a great story.
