Masked Heart

Masked Heart is an original short story set in the 19th century similar to Edgar Allan Poe’s era. It tells of a young man who loses himself to rage and is driven by paranoia to hide from the rest of the world. 


The film included was directed by Fiona Waters. The film is also set in the 1800s, with many stylistic elements to capture the mood throughout the piece. The black and white filter over top adds and authenticity to the era and a series of shots and camera angles allowed the director to communicate her vision. 


This project allowed two different media types to demonstrate that they can tell the same story to make something magnificent.
