This book is designed to give beginning bassists the foundation necessary to play standard bass lines to any song, in any style of music. Students apply the simple musical patterns presented in the opening chapters to a common progression of chord changes known as the Cycle of Fourths, which represents the most likely change from one chord to another in music, leading to a knowledge of many of the most often used chord progressions in all styles of music. This book contains 45 music examples in both standard notation and TAB, 33 play-along tracks embedded directly into the pages and numerous informative tables and diagrams. A great primer for beginning bassists, or as textbook for teachers to use with students.
