Publisher Description
Mastering Small Stakes Cash Games is a book where the key word is “mastering”.
The author, Evan Jarvis, is a professional poker player and highly respected poker coach. He takes a slightly different approach to that used by most poker coaches. The absolute fundamental, as always, is to help players master cash game play but Jarvis takes a holistic approach, recognising that being able to master people and master yourself are equally important in order to achieve poker success.
In order to succeed in cash play it is essential to have a rock solid pre-flop and post-flop game-plan. However, there are other factors to successful play (e.g. game selection, seat selection, buy-in level etc.) that are often neglected. These can be equally important and are all addressed.

Customer Reviews
Must read book for serious players!
I first started my poker career in 2005. The game was very raw and much softer compared today’s player pool. Game theory has evolved and while there have been many great books published, videos uploaded, and classes created, on advanced strategy. While it is important to learn and adapt I have found most of this information inadequate for low, medium, and even some higher stakes cash games. I have seen many “educated” players abandon discipline and basic strategy to there detriment. The books that I traditionally recommend, while still relevant, are dated and lack a modern approach. I have even considered writing a book to fill the void for players that I mentor. I am happy to say I have found that book! Evan’s ability to incorporate modern game theory while sticking to basic principles (Triple Threat) is not only knowledgeable but very applicable to the games I see on a daily basis. His background as an instructor shines through with the way he is able to convey the information in this book. This book will go into my lesson plan posthaste.
Thank you Evan for publishing this book,
