As the town's self-appointed Marshall of Love and Justice, Carol Blake has played postmistress and matchmaker in Kiel, Wisconsin, for nearly fifty years. It is no accident that a lady's magazine, intended for one lonely divorcée, mysteriously appears in a grieving widower's box.
