Anothrer hit for this series
Another one in the Portal City Protectors series that picks up right where the previous book left off, this is a nice series to read in that aspect.
I’m still loving the characters, and there might be a few I love to hate, and am excited to learn more about … it’s a really fun world full of magic and shifters and fae. We learn a bit more about the fae as it pertains to this world in this one.
Overall, it’s a fun read. I quite like Pasquale and Giuliana. Fabiana is intriguing and I’m hoping we get to learn more about that; after everything’s pretty well wrapped up in this book it goes on a bit, into what I hope and expect was a lead for book 4 in the series, which I will for sure pursue.
There are a couple things in this series that strike me as a bit convenient but the dialogue is witty, there’s lots of heat, there are strong family values and friendships, and there’s no shortage of action. There’s also a fun plot that is semi-complex and becomes more intriguing along the way. Will continue to read on in this series and anything else both authors put out.
If you like mysteries, shifters, mafia, romance, sexy times, comedy, drama, magic … need I go on? Then this series is probably for you.

Nothing is as it seems
This series just keeps getting better. I love how each book adds to the story while giving us answers and questions and HEAs. The authors did a fantastic job of increasing the intensity with this book. The story takes us on a grand adventure with action and adventure. They brought back all of our favorite characters and introduced some new ones, or did they? I love this story and am so glad that the princess has finally found her prince. I hope the authors continue this series for some time to come. I need to know what happens with the traitor and if Fabiana finally finds her peace. I can’t wait to read what happens next.

This was a great read I enjoyed the well developed and engaging characters and the storyline flowed smoothly from the beginning to the end.
