Okay, let me start off by saying I’m a huge C.D. Gorri fanboy. I love all of her work. She’s amazing! This book hit close to home for me. I grew up with a brother who was very abusive to females. I’d watch him fight my father and my sister and it sucked because I was younger and couldn’t do anything about it. So I will warn you there is a trigger moment of abuse. The first chapter or so of the book had me wanting to have a nice conversation with this fellow. Now I stand over 6 feet tall and I’m a monster and I don’t like it when insecure little boys harm females. That being said this book was a phenomenal read. Ole boy gets his in the end and that made me feel like that tiger we grew up with (shhhh copyrights) but I felt Grrrreat!! But once past that this story is so sweet and heartfelt. Lydia and Foster and that little tornado of cuteness really made my heart get the warm fuzzies. Once they got going the chemistry boy, hubba hubba is all I will say! It was through the roof! Once again Gorri weaves a awesome tale here that sucked me right in from the very beginning until the end. This woman can write, I tell ya! The last six sentences I wept like a child. I’m sorry, it was so sweet I cried.....hard. Sighs, I truly hope to find this again someday. God is good so I have hope for myself! But I am a pessimist 🤔. Lord, hook a bruh up please! With a woman that likes bear shifters (winks). I digress. Pick this book up! You won’t regret it. The Macconwood books are awesome. This book definitely gets 5 cosmic stars from me!💥💥💥💥💥
