Math Fun

The lesson plans, student activities, and online assessments in this interactive book are aligned to Common Core State Standards for Mathematics. The focus for Volume 1.0 are the five domains for kindergarten: Counting and Cardinality, Operations and Algebraic Thinking, Number and Operations, Measurement and Data, and Geometry. The lesson plans are designed for ease of use by teachers and parents. Throughout the book, the lesson plans offer an instructional approach that progresses from the use of concrete objects found around the classroom or home, to simple representational drawings on paper with pencils and crayons, and finally to abstract thinking using numbers and mathematical symbols. The student activities provide children with the opportunity to express their creativity and artistic talents as they demonstrate their understanding and knowledge.
