Behind the scenes, Dani's marriage is on the rocks. And although she's doing all she can to keep things together, her happily ever after is unraveling around her. So when a face she'd recognize anywhere shows up at Breathe asking for her, Dani discovers she's ill-equipped to take on one more emotional challenge in her life.

Ranae's well-intentioned meddling only makes matters worse.

Ranae, a single mom, is in love with a man who doesn't belong to her. When the long-buried past comes knocking, Ranae's not willing to open her door—or her heart—to it again. But seventeen-year-old Ruby has always longed to know more about her family history.
