A 16 year old boy tries to push the motor of an antique car up to 100 miles per hour on 15 miles of straight highway. The car shudders and threatens to disintegrate yet seems to be alive and desperate to save its own life and that of the boy. An old man, well beyond 70, has a tale that he must tell before it's too late. The stories converge on Old Cape Cod - a quiet place outlined by sand and surrounded by ocean.
