Publisher Description

MAX: JOURNEY TO FREEDOM is the memoir of Mostafa “Max” Sotodeh, an Iranian man, the youngest of 12 children from the same mother — and 18 of the same father — who flees his home in 1983, in the wake of revolution and war. He spends the next several years in jails and as a refugee across three continents, finally arriving in the United States in 1989, where he eventually made himself a home and a life, but without his family … especially his beloved mother, Sogra.

Sidespringer ,

Amazing story of perseverance, optimism and love.

Max is a beautiful story that kept me on the edge of my seat. It is so well written. Halfway through, I was hoping that it would not end. I would love to see the movie adaptation of this book.
I want the paper copy to keep and pass to each of my children to read so they understand some of the hardship endured by the proud citizen of this nation.
I am ready for part 2 focusing like ‘Mayrig’ an Armenian refugee story on Mostafa’s loving Mom.
