Dr. Leaman has been paralyzed from the shoulders down for more than twenty years. In those years he earned a Bachelors from the University of Maryland, and a Ph.D. from the University of California. He had a 12 year career at NASA, and is the inventor of the Intelligent Power Wheelchair. He is an author, scientist, mentor, and advocate for people with disabilities.
