Bait and switch?
I thought this was going to be a book about the people who brought the Miata to life, how it came to be, and how enthusiasts fell in love with the little roadster, which it did start out as. But soon after buying the book to get past the introduction I found that it quickly turned into a boring recitation of model year features, colors, sales data, and sales brochure reprints which frequently did not align with the text of the current page. It’s drier than a glass of Sahara dessert sand. I feel like I’m being forced to read a school book for a report. Sad that I spent this much money. Totally unlike other books in the genre that I’ve read.
