Will Holiday Sanchez be able to overcome the sins of her parents or will she continue to let fear hold her back from living her life?
Me and Milo the Great, helps to overcome the stigma of mental illness by its ability to connect the reader to the characters. I found myself, "walking in the shoes" of Holiday. This book is a raw and realistic look into the life of a character struggling with the crippling effects of anxiety. It gave me a greater appreciation for the daily trials that those with anxiety struggle to conquer. Schlicher's ability to keep you guessing throughout the story while continually developing the depth of each character is truly magical!
