Unique storyline on old themes.
Characters growing deeper as novel progresses. Looking forward to next in series.

I was hooked from the beginning and can’t wait to read the next one!
What a mess
Characters are all dumb as heck. Frankly painful to read. Logic of everything was basically choose the dumbest thing to do and constantly change their mind about things for basically no reason. Baffled by the logic of “my ankle is broken” while less than 2 minutes later they decide “I can walk on my own” before going back to “I can’t make this drop because I’ll break my other ankle” timeline was fractured and disjointed, adults were idiots too. The entire thing felt like it was written by a 12 year old
