Poor Quality
Most of the reference material appears to be scanned copies of original text instead of being reproduced in a legible format. As such, most of those reference items are unusable as reference material in their present form.
Apple should review books such as this more carefully and provide disclaimers about the diminished quality of text. The author or agent should be ashamed for publishing this book digitally without first having put in the effort to recreate the obvious scanned work to proper digital formatting.
