Whatever issue your thyroid has, it is just another symptom of a deeper, underlying problem, at the root of which is the invasive thyroid virus. Hypothyroidism, Graves’ disease, thyroid nodules and other common thyroid problems are all symptoms of the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). 

By the time the virus attacks your thyroid gland, it has already passed from your bloodstream and infiltrated your lymph nodes and liver. From the thyroid, it advances to your nervous system. 

When EBV attacks the thyroid tissue, it stifles the production of thyroid hormones T3 and T4. The underproduction of these hormones causes symptoms of hypothyroidism, including fatigue and body temperature fluctuations. If a more aggressive strain of EBV attacks the thyroid, it triggers an overproduction of the thyroid hormones, causing the symptoms associated with hyperthyroidism and Graves’ disease.
