Meet the Lions

Twi, a San (Bushmen) lad from the Ju/hoansi tribe and his friend James, a local game ranger’s son, together with Twi’s father K/ow, have some exciting experiences when hunting close to Twi’s village in the Nyae Nyae district on the border of Botswana. Here James learns about the relationship between the lion and the Ju/hoansi Bushmen tribe huntsmen.

The book is divided into Eight Chapters, each containing a story about the Bushmen’s relationship with the lions and it allows the lion family Singa, Umtamu, Shashi, Shumba, Lea and their daughter Aski to tell their own story.
