More than a Youngsters Book
This book is a solid quick start guide on learning mandarin for any age although it is only about 22 pages it’s helpful in understanding the first few steps in conversations and vocabulary, it is recommended to learn grammar first when learning the language and do it by short steps although it’s not common you’ll say hello to a Chinese speaker and then they’ll reply back with a English version of their name this book is still feasible enough.
Great material to learn beginner conversational Mandarin!!
Came across this material from a student's parent and was surprised to find how intuitive the flow is - it's packed with interesting lesson topics to keep my students engaged throughout 60-90 minute classes; as a part time tutor this e-book really comes in handy for conversation teaching without needing to spend big bucks on prints.
I would recommend having a grammar material in print to go with this e-book, but for beginners and small kids I always find it more effective to minimize book use and instead have students engage in conversation dialogues first.
