Publisher Description

An eye-opening biography of one of the most influential psychiatrists of the modern age, drawing from his lectures, conversations, and own writings.

"An important, firsthand document for readers who wish to understand this seminal writer and thinker." —Booklist

In the spring of 1957, when he was eighty-one years old, Carl Gustav Jung undertook the telling of his life story. Memories, Dreams, Reflections is that book, composed of conversations with his colleague and friend Aniela Jaffé, as well as chapters written in his own hand, and other materials. Jung continued to work on the final stages of the manuscript until shortly before his death on June 6, 1961, making this a uniquely comprehensive reflection on a remarkable life. Fully corrected, this edition also includes Jung's VII Sermones ad Mortuos.

Great Read

Great read for those who like to dig deep into their thoughts, dreams, and affects they have on our physical lives.
Not even half way into the book and I am very pleased! The book is great but most importantly my relations I noticed from myself to the author are truly amazing. Can’t wait to get deeper into this book and hopefully find some answers for my own dreams and experiences.

An amazing book

This book is an amazing journey through Jung’s early years and professional development. The Memory section is important to appreciate the unusual mind and memory of Jung that could lead to his later insights regarding dreams and their connections with the collective mind and personal unconscious. Perhaps what surprised this reader most were the philosophical insights of the last Insights section. It will leave you wanting more of Jung’s collected works.

Best book on psychology to date

Jung is one of the best example of one whose life was entangled with unconscious phenomena and who could provide his analytics on it to others.
