Men of Iron: an extraordinary book.
I loved this book. Such a show of kindness, mettle, and honesty. A clean, well balanced book of growth. Such a happy ending for Myles Falworth.
More than a children's book...
I have loved Pyle's work from my childhood. As an adult, I see much more depth in his writing than I was conscious of growing up. Men of Iron has become more of a favorite than the stories of Arthur and the knights of the round table. The character of Myles Falworth exhibits the strength of character and determination that I want my sons to have. Humility, strength and honor...the measure of manhood.
