It is hard to mention Mendoza, Argentina without invoking “at the foot of the Andes.” The second highest mountains in the world are an omnipresent backdrop to the vineyards, contrasting their white peaks with the green leaves. An American wine writer and his photographer wife lived in the middle of the vines for over five years. Here they share a few of their favorite wineries, in words and images. Mendoza Wineries is unlike any book of the area that has come before. With more than 500 photos there is no way this book could ever be published, except on the iPad.
