I'm nineteen, homeless, and estranged from my parents after my dad kicked me out for being gay. My only friend in the world is my cat, Linus.

When Linus gets sick, my regular vet demands a $500 deposit I don't have. My last hope is Dr. Blake Jorgensen, the vet with a pink neon-lit clinic called "Pussy-Hound". Everyone says he's a nutcase.

But Blake saves Linus and doesn't charge me a dime. He's handsome, muscular, intense, and hiding a huge secret: the clinic's name is an ironic joke. He fixed my cat, but is he the man who can fix my heart?
