In 1865 Louisiana, Captain Robert Cooper from the Freedman's Bureau is sent to investigate a rash of strange murders and disappearances. Loved every minute of Mercy from start to finish. I was engrossed in everything about this book from the 1860's setting. The Louisiana plantations, and the rougague.
Im am a Louisiana native and it's hard to find a book that is written with accurate accounts of Louisiana etc. this book was. Well done.
