Merlin's Guru

Dear Reader,


     This is the first in a series of three volumes that explore the life and times of two remarkable men, who lived in the thirteenth century.  Their names are Abhiseleka and Goldach.  Though they never meet in the flesh, these two are as intimately associated as two human beings can be.  In today’s terms, they are ‘twin flames,’ or ‘twin souls.’  What this means is that they have a long history of incarnations with each other.  They are one soul in two bodies.

     The story you are about to read takes place on two fronts: Britain and India.  This is why the chapters alternate.  The first chapter grants us a glimpse into the men’s future.  The second chapter paints a picture of the world into which Goldach was born.  The third brings us to India and Abhiseleka’s roots.  The chapters progressively build upon themselves, as the men learn the nature of their relationship, through experiences in the Astral Plane.

     The similarities of the political climates in India and Britain at this time are uncanny.  There are two rigid regimes, the Sharia Islamists in India, and the Catholic Church in Britain, both of which are characterized by bigotry, intolerance, and slavery.  What better place and time for heroes to be born and reared?  

     There is no opportunity for hero worship in Merlin’s Guru, however.  We see these two miracle working powerhouses for who they are, humans who are far from perfect.  

     This entire series was born out of a recurring conversation Melissa Mogan and I have had over the past five years.  I’ll leave it to you, Dear Reader, to decide who is whom.  I hope you enjoy your journey with us, and I look forward to seeing you again soon.  Volume two is in progress, and projected to be in your hands by the Spring Equinox of 2014.
