She doesn’t believe in miracles, but maybe this holiday her son’s Christmas wish will change her mind.
Single mom Riley O’Sullivan isn’t one to complain, but with her closest family members now settled in Marietta, Montana, while she still calls Portland home, finding good help isn’t as easy as it used to be. With Christmas approaching, Riley and her young son Dylan are excited to be in Marietta with family for the holidays; but she certainly doesn’t need maddening Mitch Miller coming to her rescue, awakening her senses, or making Dylan ask questions about what dads do.
Mitch Miller left his successful financial career behind him when he moved to Marietta with his two sisters. He’s not looking for love, but Riley captivates him like no other woman ever has. She thinks he’s an overprotective grinch–with good cause–but it’s clear to everyone Riley and Dylan could use a little Christmas magic and he’s willing to help. It’s not as if he’s offering his heart.
Perhaps all it will take to bring them together is the Christmas wish from one special little boy.

Merry Christmas, Montana
Merry Christmas, Montana is book 3 in the Millers of Marietta series by Elsa Winckler, a new to me author. 4.5 stars
Mitch and Riley’s story is full of family interference, weddings of Mitch’s sisters that Riley is photographing, her curious son, sparks, a Christmas wish, laughter and more.
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy (ARC) of this book from Tule Publishing. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is written in a multiple POV format. Getting both main characters really help me to better understand and connect to them. It makes for a more enjoyable read for me.
I just adored the addition of Dylan (Riley O’Sullivan’s 4 year old son). Riley and Dylan live in Portland, OR. Riley is a photographer who really focuses on fashion. Riley and Dylan come to Marietta to photograph, Annie and Craig’s wedding. Craig is Riley’s cousin. Craig moved in with Riley when her fiancé dumped her prior to the wedding. Later Craig helped with her needs and that of Dylan’s. With the wedding, signaling his move to Marietta myself, Riley is now separated from her brother Aiden (his is the first story in the series, her Godmother, Aunt Janice along with Craig.) All of her living family now reside several states away in a small town, Marietta, Montana.
Mitch Miller and his two sisters (also stories one and two) moved to Marietta for a fresh start in life. Mitch wants to write a novel but he is stumbling over some of the details. To help financially, Mitch teaches at the local school. Mitch doesn’t want to get married. Looking after his two sisters and his dreams have taken up much of his life. That is until Aiden’s sister comes to town to photograph the wedding.
Can these two overcome all of the hurdles that the author put before them? Well you will have to read for yourself. This is a delightfully funny tale.
It is on the sexy side so just a word of caution on that. The author does a great job of excluding most of the details so I the reader could use my imagination.
Loved it!
I loved Merry Christmas, Montana Book 3 of The Millers of Marietta. Riley is happy as a single mother, declaring she will stay single forever after being burned. She wasn’t expecting to fall fie Mitch. She tries to push him away but he keeps coming back. Mitch has never wanted anyone like he does Riley, she’s been hurt so she’s skittish. It will take the help of family to make her see sense. This is such a sweet, amazing storyline and I just loved the characters. How they all intertwined and carry over from the first two books. She’s scared and closed off, he’s stubborn and will do anything for her. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.
