Meta

The entire globe was witness to The Flash – a blinding strobe of light that penetrated even through solid walls. Post-Flash, the world became aware of individuals with strange abilities and biology, outside the norm of homo sapiens. These individuals were labeled metahumans, or metas.

People fear what metas can do, especially when some metas use their gifts in criminal or terroristic ways. Other metas, choosing to serve society, became known as Protectors; they stand against metas who would use their gifts to steal or to hurt others.

As the divisions between humans and metas grow, in the shadows lurk two people. One is responsible for the existence of metahumans, while the other is a secret ally who would help the Protectors in their mission to show the world that metas are not to be feared.
