Publisher Description
A beautiful cookbook about historically plant-based Mexican food before colonization. Adriana explores the history of Mexico's culinary roots through the accounts of "The Codices of Mexico". The recipes are a solid introduction to the staples of pre-Hispanic dishes. Food from the Earth that is naturally plant-based and gluten free, yet full of flavor.

Must have cookbook!
Hello,
Not only is this a book filled with ancestral recipes and dishes. It is a clinic on how people that want to write books such as this should do their research. Nothing less than perfect. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into this. I am assuming that if our ancestors picked up this book, it would play out like such.
Guatemok: hey honey, what’s for dinner? I see you bought yourself A new cookbook.
Adriana: what do you mean bought a cookbook. I am the cookbook.
Needs a few improvements.
I thoroughly enjoyed the recipe book and found the recipes to be exceptional. However, I believe there are a few areas that could benefit from improvement. Firstly, the ability to highlight text and add notes within the text would be highly useful. Additionally, larger font options would enhance readability, as the current font icon only controls vertical scrolling and screen brightness. Lastly, there are a few spelling mistakes, although they are minor and do not significantly detract from the overall quality.
A Love Letter Shared
This is a beautiful cookbook. I’m not a vegan, but I enjoy exploring different types of foods. I’ve been following Adriana for a while now, and I always enjoy her recipes. They are honest, clean, and welcoming dishes.
This is really a love letter to traditional Mexican dishes, but it’s a love letter that’s intended for the world to read. You can tell it’s intimate with the inclusion of pictures of Mexico and the author’s family. Honestly, I’ve never before had a cookbook make me feel like it was welcoming me into a home and a seat at the table.
If you are interested in exploring traditional Mexican cuisine, regardless of whether you are vegan, vegetarian or still enjoy meat, I highly recommend this book.
