Seventeen year old Leila Cook is special. She was born blind. Her Father blames their neighbor Carl Holloway for Leila's blindness but this doesn't seem to bother Adam Holloway, Carl's son, a first year Law student at the prestigious University of Michigan who thinks the world of Leila.
