Masterfully done
The 2nd book in the Rigante series is a stand alone book as are most of Gemmell’s books.
As part of series many of the characters are the same or are mentioned. But since you are viewing the world through another character’s eyes, characters you knew and liked/loved in the first book will be seen completely differently.
All around would recommend this series.
