APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Rupi Kaur’s debut is an affecting snapshot of womanhood that weaves together her raw, relatable poems and impressionistic drawings. Split into four sections, Milk and Honey explores Kaur’s own experiences with relationships, heartbreak, and sexual assault, as well as her journey toward clarity and empowerment. It’s a brave endeavor that lays bare a young woman’s most vulnerable feelings and introduces us to a candid, tender, and fresh poetic voice.

Incredible Book
Amazing! Soft! Powerful! Blissful! Intelligent! Beautiful!
wasn’t very intriguing
i bought this and her other book because a lot of people- both friends and acquaintances- recommended it to me. however, i don’t understand the hype. MOST (not all!) of the poems are just sentences that are divided into different stanzas, and have nothing that relates to a real poem. there’s no metaphors, rhyming, etc. it doesn’t have a distinctive style and isn’t all that emotional or beautiful. it’s very disappointing. some of her poems are very beautiful, like the construction one. but i can’t say that for maybe 80% or more of the book.
