Mill Village Road

Nine-year old April Dawn Tyler is thrilled to be friends with her classmate, Hilda Jean Norton, who lives on Mill Village Road. Dawn, who lives on an isolated farm, dreams to be a resident in the village where neighbors greet each other in passing or sit on their porches and watch the setting sun.


Her dream is shattered when Hilda Jean disappears. The one suspect, Bryan O'Keith, terrorizes Dawn and threatens her with a brutal death if she even hints the he is involved. Even with his threats hanging over her head, Dawn vows to Hilda Jean that she will never stop looking for her. Over the years, when faced with life harsh realities, she invokes Hilda Jean's spirit to help her overcome her fears. 


Now grown, Dawn's family and friends try to discourage her decision to move to the mill village. Family members and friends hint of hidden dangers. Nevertheless, she must follow her dream, and more so, she must follow through on her vow to Hilda Jean. The menace she uncovers changes her and the mill village residents in ways she never dreamed.
