Life is tough for a starpilot stripped of his license to fly. The good jobs go to guildsmen who play by the rules. Jack DiFalco broke them -- his crime was playing the hi-tech games which are changing the future. Playing not in VR, but in the mindspace, the total-immersion rigs where players enter the realm of the machine. Some of them don’t make it back out.
