Publisher Description

The #1 bestselling author of Bonhoeffer and Martin Luther explores miracles in an inspiring response to the “New Atheists”

Not since C. S. Lewis in 1947 has an author of Eric Metaxas’s stature undertaken a major exploration of the phenomenon of miracles. In this groundbreaking work, Metaxas examines the compatibility between faith and science and provides well-documented anecdotal evidence of actual miracles. With compelling—sometimes electrifying—evidence that there is something real to be reckoned with, Metaxas offers a timely, civil, and thoughtful answer to recent books by Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, and Sam Harris. Already a New York Times bestseller, Miracles will be welcomed by both believers and skeptics—who will find their minds opening to the possibilities.

So much more

Yes, this book is about miracles but it is so much more than that. I heard Eric Metaxas speaking about this book on the radio and knew it was going to be a great book but had no idea that it would impossible to put down! I Eric thank you for this book and I'm looking forward to reading your others.

Thorough

I’ve read books by Eric Metaxas on Luther, Miracles, and am currently reading his book on the life of Bonhoeffer. One thing I am convinced of—Metaxas is thorough. He digs deep into his subject! I am impressed by the depth and extent of his knowledge, of the breadth of his reading into each topic. He seems to have immersed himself into the very fiber of his subject matter. Each book does not receive a mere superficial treatment. He drills deep into the core, into the marrow of his subject and methodically entertains and educates the reader.

Good start--great ending

...But weak in the middle. Some of the stories seemed trite. Other stories had unrelated detail. Author must have at least 500 "My dear friend(s). Despite all of that I liked the message.
