Fun and Dangerous

Mission Ashrun is a novella featuring events that occur prior to the story in Splinter.

When disaster strikes days before the deadly Ash Season is due to fall upon their guild, Kelsie and Drake face unprecedented challenges. Risking everything to save innocent lives, Drake must make a decision that could save everyone or doom them.

The writing style is fun to read, and the personalities of the characters really pop. They are well-developed as multi-faceted individuals and each stands alone as distinctly unique while interacting in a legitimate and believeable manner.

The author has created a totally original post-apocalyptic world that is fraught with danger, but also cool possibilities. I found this novella to be a real page-turner and enjoyed it immensely. While it's not necessary to read Splinter to fully enjoy this story, I think people will want to! Drake and Kelsie can definitely not be confined to one book.
