THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
From Mark Greaney, the New York Times bestselling author of Gunmetal Gray and a coauthor of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan novels, comes a high-stakes thriller featuring the world's most dangerous assassin: the Gray Man.
Court Gentry's flight on a CIA transport plane is interrupted when a security team brings a hooded man aboard. They want to kick Gentry off the flight but are overruled by CIA headquarters. The mystery man is being transported to England where a joint CIA/MI6 team will interrogate him about a mole in Langley.
When they land in an isolated airbase in the U.K., they are attacked by a hostile force who kidnaps the prisoner. Only Gentry escapes. His handlers send him after the attackers, but what can one operative do against a trained team of assassins? A lot, when that operative is the Gray Man.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
A protégé of the late Tom Clancy, Mark Greaney writes spy thrillers that crackle with excitement and are packed with rigorously researched detail that makes the stories startlingly realistic. In Greaney’s eighth Gray Man adventure, CIA assassin Court Gentry fights to stop a series of deadly attacks against American intelligence around the world. Meanwhile, a former Russian spy aspires to world domination with the aid of a bioweapon perfected by a rogue North Korean scientist. The gloriously pulpy dialogue and white-knuckle action make Mission Critical a great read for your next cross-country flight.

Started off strong but then just meandered into stupidville.
The entire premise for the villain, whose “logic” swings back and forth between silly and inconsistent, is better suited for an Austin Powers movie. About 60% through I found myself skipping pages over and over, until finally, at what presumably was the action packed climax, I found myself so bored with it that could care less what happened.
Come on author, put a little effort into it, or price it for the silly pulp fiction it is.
And this is from someone who enjoyed some of your earlier efforts...

Not at all worth it and I have read and enjoyed all his other books. Was difficult to get involved with the story
Another great gray man novel. All eight books have been terrific. Mr. Greaney sir; please keep Zack and Zoya in future writings. The three of them make a great team.
