Publisher Description
What’s a girl supposed to do when she’s secretly in love with her best friend?
I’ll I’ve you a hint. It’s not accompany him home for the holidays and pretend to be his girlfriend. How did I even end up here?
I’ll tell you how. I got lost in Justin Morrison’s baby blues, that’s how. Ever since Justin rescued me from my no good cheating ex - I’ve had a thing for him. I’ve done my best to keep it under wraps. Hell, I intended to take this truth to the grave. I’ve never had someone protect me the way he does and I’ve never wanted to ruin our friendship.
The problem is, to give his ailing grandma, possibly the best last Christmas, and cover a teensy teensy little white lie he told her, now I’m having to pretend to to be in love with him. Sleeping in the same bed…kissing him!
All for show of course.
But I can do this right? I can hide my real feelings? Even when he takes our public kisses behind closed doors and there’s no mistletoe in sight?

Friends to Lovers Christmas Story
Mistletoe Hearts is a cute friends to lovers, force proximity, fake relationship, only one bed romance by Nana Malone. Justin and Alex met in college and shared one powerful kiss to get revenge on Alex’s cheating ex-boyfriend. Justin decided right on the spot that he shouldn’t go there with Alex because he was a player and Alex was too good for him. Many years later, Alex and Justin were best friends who each secretly were crushing on each other. Justin was still a player and Alex still dated men who turned out to be cheaters. Justin’s grandmother was ill and used that to coerce Justin into coming home for the Christmas holidays. She insisted that bring the girlfriend he had invented to prevent his grandmother from sending him on dates, and Justin begged Alex to play the role of his girlfriend. The question at hand was whether the two could maintain their platonic friendship while in close proximity, with only one bed, for a week while kissing and touching in order to sell their relationship to Justin’s family? I loved this story. It has plenty of Nana Malone’s trademark humor, spice and sweetness. Alex is a very likable hot mess character and Justin is very charming and affectionate, if a bit clueless about his own feelings. It was a pretty quick read and a great feel-good Christmas story. I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after reading an advanced complementary copy of this book.
Enjoyable
Engaging characters with an equally engaging storyline made for a delightful experience. I loved the sweetness between them. The author made their relationship believable and relatable. I loved how they traversed their journey. Nicely done.
